As we gear up for the 2025 tomato season, it’s the perfect time to reflect on what an incredible year 2024 was for Sweet Red Balls. With a bountiful harvest, exciting events, and strong partnerships, last season was one of our most successful yet.
A standout moment was our Open Day, where we welcomed visitors into our glasshouse to see our tomatoes growing up close. It was fantastic to share our passion for sustainable tomato growing with so many enthusiastic guests. Additionally, we hosted numerous tours, welcoming groups from touring companies eager to see firsthand how we grow our juicy red tomatoes.
Our tomatoes made their way to markets and independent stockists across the country, with a significant portion of our produce reaching the Glasgow Fruit Market. It was especially exciting to see our large tomatoes on the vine make their way to major retailers like Morrisons, Asda and Aldi. Seeing our tomatoes enjoyed by so many – whether in small local shops, large markets, or supermarkets – was a true testament to the dedication of our Sweet Red Balls team.
The success of 2024 has set a strong foundation for what’s to come. As we step into the 2025 season, we’re excited to build on our achievements, continue growing our relationships with stockists and visitors, and, of course, provide the juiciest tomatoes.
